Moving House

Two words that cause more stress and havoc than the world ending - Moving House.

With my dad's job we happen to move a lot (I believe this is something like my eighth or ninth move and I haven't even moved out of my parent's house yet), so when my parent's confronted me at the end of a hard working day and mentioned us moving again, it didn't bother me that much. The thing that struck me was how we are about to move 45 miles away from our current household . 45. That is (if you're travelling at 60mph) Three quarters of an hour away from all my friends and things that I've grown to rely on, it was going to be a big change. However, my mum did mention commuting so she could still work at her current job ect. These are all minor details, I shouldn't burden you with them. That isn't what I wanted to talk about today, I wanted to talk (well write) about the actual act of moving itself.

I have no clue what to do. Out of a whole house, I have just one tiny room to pack up and organise so honestly, I feel sorry for my parents. One tiny little room and I'm completely clueless. Where do I begin to start? I googled it and they say to tidy your room as a good first step but my room is all ready spotless- since we have people coming to view the house. I know I have a few sneaky wrapper hidden underneath my bed from where I've snuck treats upstairs but hey, what the viewers don't know won't hurt them.

So, first step was completed before task even began. Now what? 'Sell Unwanted Items'. Hmm, okay. I guess I can weasel out a few DVDs that I never watch or maybe some books- who am I kidding? All my books are precious babies of mine that shall never be given up. I would spare you the details but after a long sort out through my DVD collection I managed to throw out a total of 4 DVDs that just didn't make the cut. This included the very first Sims game without a box, the Rudyard Kipling's version of The Jungle Book starring Charlton Heston as the Narrator (This again was without a box and frankly I have no idea who the creator is or who the Narrator is), The Jacqueline Wilson Collection and a broken My Neighbour Totoro.

I guess I could throw out a few more, but honestly I just couldn't bear to part with my beloved Hannah Montana The Movie or my 3 One Direction films- these are all things I loved many years ago, probably to never be opened again. Some things you have to keep though, for sentimental reasons.

Unfortunately, the next step on the list I can't actually do because I'm not moving exactly today. I'm an over planner for the future, I always want to plan things right now when they won't even need to be planned for the next ten years. I will actually be moving soon though, in about a week or two and the excitement is almost too much it's making me feel restless. In our new house my room is a lot bigger and I just asdfghjkl okay the time is starting to tick by slowly because I'm beginning to get too excited, I need to just stop talking about it and get on with my day. So on that note I hope everything is going well for you guys, and if I don't have wifi whilst I'm in the process of moving I will schedule some posts up.
